About the Friends of Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park

Our Mission

  • To promote public awareness, use, and enjoyment of the park

  • To assist the park management and staff with facility maintenance, resource management, visitor services and recycling

  • To improve the park facilities by providing amenities through fund-raisers

  • To learn more about the native environment of this park and other Florida State Parks

How Can You Actively Help?

Your talents, skills and interest will make you an important State Park Volunteer. Become involved in any of these activities:

  • Help with Friends Events at the Park (art shows, Nature Fest, etc.)

  • Serve on the Board of Directors or a committee

  • Help clean up the Park, especially after storms and holidays

  • Assist with fundraising activities or public relations

  • Interpretive activities: displays, programs, or write articles for the park's newsletter

  • Help with environmental activities and recycling operations
