BETTY WILSON is a Florida artist and former software engineer and mathematics teacher/professor who is originally from Longview, Texas. She has been painting in Watercolor since 1988 and has been teaching Watercolor since 1998.
She currently teaches watercolor classes in Naples, Florida through the Adult Education program of Collier County Public Schools. She also teaches weekend Watercolor workshops and is a certified Terry Madden instructor.
From the beginning, watercolor has been my medium of choice because of its spontaneity. The process of creating a new painting is exciting, fun, and full of drama and intrigue. It is like solving a great mystery or reading a good novel, only I get to write the storyline. My greatest joy in painting comes from making new creative discoveries and from sharing these discoveries with others. Teaching will always be my passion.
